The much-awaited launch of the next generation Zen 3 Vermeer CPUs Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 7 5800X could reportedly happen on October 20.
According to industry insider 1usmus, the upcoming AMD Ryzen 5000 CPU could be at the retailers ahead of the launch of the AMD RDNA 2-based Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards. In a tweet, the tipster said that this is old information, but AMD has not changed its original plan. The tweet also bears the specific release schedule of the chipmaker.
On October 20, AMD will reportedly launch the Ryzen 5800X and the Ryzen 5900X CPUs. Meanwhile, the AMD Navi 2 graphics card series will allegedly launch between November 15 and 20. Videocardz sources previously claimed that the AMD Ryzen 5000 series would include the Ryzen 7 5800X and the Ryzen 9 5900X.
However, a recent tweet from Uniko's Hardware revealed that the lineup would not be exclusive on these SKUs. The report claimed that it would also include the Ryzen 5 5600X and the Ryzen 9 5950X. Based on earlier leaks, it seems that the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X is the flagship of the series with 16 cores and 32 threads..
Meanwhile, the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X reportedly features 12 cores and 24 threads. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X features 8 cores and 16 threads while the Ryzen 5 5600X features 6 cores and 12 threads. So far, there is no concrete leak about the prices of the upcoming CPUs, but it is highly likely that it will remain close to the current cost.

Aside from the insider, Computerbase seemingly backed the potential launch date of the AMD Vermeer CPUs. The site, however, also predicted that the launch could also happen on October 27. There is a chance that the chipmaker would first launch the higher-tier chips and then debut the more mainstream parts.
AMD Zen 3 architecture is believed to be the greatest CPUD design AMD has developed since the Zen. This chip was totally revamped and mainly centered on three important features. These are faster clocks, higher efficiency and significant IPC gains.
It is worth mentioning that these dates and specifications are unconfirmed and unofficial. In this case, it is smarter to take this information with a pinch of salt. Meanwhile, AMD is anticipated to debut its next-generation Ryzen CPUs and its Zen 3 core architecture on October 8.
