"Call of Duty: Mobile" finished a year in the mobile gaming industry and a new report revealed a good picture of what the game has brought to the "Call of Duty" franchise. The hit game amassed 100 million downloads just a week following its release in October 2019, according to the report. This led to 148 million installs in its first month and 172 million in its second month.

Based on the Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence Analytics, "Call of Duty: Mobile" made approximately $480 million in revenue through player spending just a year after its release. Additionally, the game maintained a spot in the top three rankings of highest-grossing mobile shooters in the U.S. between October 2019 and September 2020. The top spot belongs to "PUBG Mobile" while Epic Game's "Fortnite" dominated second place.

"Call of Duty: Mobile" players in the U.S. spent an estimated $215 million, generating the maximum revenue for the game from a country in its first year. Japan falls second in the global revenue list, followed by Germany in the third spot. To date, "Call of Duty: Mobile" has almost 270 million downloads.

The U.S. accounts for most of these downloads with almost 50 million players. "Call of Duty: Mobile" Brazil bags the next spot, followed by India on the third spot. By earning almost $500 million in terms of player spending, Activision's mobile game landed on the 22nd spot on the list of highest-earning mobile titles on its debut year.

AppAnnie recently reported that the success of "Call of Duty: Mobile" is due to a lot of factors, primarily because of the franchise's dedication to its player base. The game's popularity has increased since its release and it has reached almost 1 billion or 850 million hours of playtime during its peak month.

Some analysts believe that the popularity of "Call of Duty: Mobile" may grow in India. This is because the country recently banned "PUBG Mobile," which had a massive fanbase across the region. Activision could develop new plans to take advantage of the void left behind by the popular battle royale game.

"Call of Duty Mobile" is also anticipated to release in Mainland, China very soon.
