Just a few days after "PUBG MObile" announced that it has permanently banned over 2.3 million accounts because of cheating, a new report revealed how players use exploits to freeze other players and easily kill them without exerting a lot of effort.
A report from Inside Sport revealed that some "PUBG Mobile" players have discovered a way to DDoS or attack the game's server. When this happens, all other players, including the hacker's teammates, in the same server within that match will freeze. After that, the players get disconnected and while they could try to re-enter the match, they could not get reconnected.
In the desktop version of the game, cheaters use tools and scripts that some sell online for hundreds of dollars. Interestingly, in "PUBG Mobile," some hackers are using game loop or emulators. As soon as they board the plane, they will run the DDos tool to attack the server.
This could lead to 900 pings or server timeout. A "PUBG Mobile" player within this match could not do anything. The cheater will then quickly pick up weapons and kill frozen or disconnected players in just a minute. Earlier, the "PUBG Mobile" team warned players that cheaters caught using DDoS attack on the game's servers could get 10-year imprisonment or a fine of at least $150,000 or both.
I enjoy waking up to great news @PUBGMOBILE
I hope the new anti-cheat is better & I really hope hackers that get ban multiple times just get their devices ban.
This sounds promising but I will wait to see results.
Also start banning hacker streams is insane how many there are. pic.twitter.com/jS7BbDgiP8 — The7WorldsGaming (@The7WG) October 3, 2020
A few days ago, several "PUBG Mobile" players complained about getting Error 403 and experience being disconnected while playing. The issue was confirmed by a member of the "PUBG Mobile" Community. In the game's official Discord server, they acknowledged that there was a DDoS attack on the game's server.
Further, they assured players that the team was working on a fix to resolve the issue. The team also announced that "PUBG Mobile" would soon receive a new Anti-Cheat patch. Additionally, more security team members have been deployed to ensure that cheating within the game would be stopped.
Like most game developers, the team admitted that they have a zero-tolerance policy against cheating or hacking. They said that they want "PUBG Mobile" to be a mobile game that promotes an even and fair playing field for gamers. The team previously announced that it has permanently suspended over 2.3 million accounts between September 18 and September 24 because of cheating.
