There is little doubt that people are excited about the Marvel Cinematic Universe series She-Hulk after it was reported that Tatiana Maslany would take on the lead role in the Disney+ show. However, it looks like the Orphan Black star isn't actually going to be part of the MCU. Maslany has spoken up about the casting, claiming that she hasn't agreed to appear in the series.

Back in September, several news outlets celebrated with news that Tatiana Maslany has been cast as Jennifer Walters in She-Hulk. The reports were so wide-spread that even Marvel Cinematic Universe star Mark Ruffalo reacted to the news and welcomed Bruce Banner's cousin into the MCU.

So is Tatiana Maslany actually playing Jennifer Walters in She-Hulk? The Orphan Black actress recently spoke to The Sudbury Star where she was asked about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe series. Interestingly, Maslany claimed that the casting news was not true at all.

"That actually isn't a real thing and it's like a press release that's gotten out of hand. It's totally not - I've been connected to these things in the past and press has gotten onto it, but it's not actually a thing, unfortunately," Maslany said.

This is surprising news considering that so many people are already looking forward to seeing Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk. Some believe that the press release may have suggested that the actress was in negotiations to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series but a deal was not made. On the other hand, others think that Maslany is trying to confuse fans about her actual role in the show.

It is important to point out that Disney and Marvel Studios didn't actually confirm Tatiana Maslany's casting in She-Hulk back in September. However, it is possible that the studios are waiting for the best time to make an official announcement about the Disney+ series. In the meantime, there is a possibility that Maslany was asked to stay quiet about her role until the studio announces her casting.

She-Hulk is just one of the several Marvel Cinematic Universe shows that is currently in active development for Disney+ in the next few years. The studios are still looking to cast Moon Knight, which will focus on the Marvel comic book hero Marc Spector. For now, She-Hulk has not yet been given a production start date or official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
