The premiere of The Mandalorian Season 2 is only over a week away but Disney wanted to make sure fans are already hyped up for the next chapter of the Star Wars series. The studio has decided to drop a new trailer that serves as a special look at the second season and it offers some interesting new possibilities for the ongoing storyline. For instance, it looks like Din Djarin could be reunited with more Mandalorians in the upcoming season.

The special look at The Mandalorian Season 2 was released during ESPN's Monday Night Football game and it has some cool new footage from the upcoming episodes. For instance, it opens with the Razor Crest being told to stand down by an X-Wing pilot but Din Djarin doesn't pay attention to this, leading to a quick chase into unknown snowy terrain. The scene is cut and immediately shows Djarin reuniting with Cara Dune and Greef Karga as he tells them about his mission to reunite Baby Yoda with his kind.

Interestingly, the new trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2 explores several new locations but goes back to the snowy terrain where Din Djarin has crashed the Razor Crest. The ship is clearly damaged as Djarin tries to repair it but his words also suggest that he might be getting some help soon. "If I can locate other Mandalorians, they can guide me," he says.

This is a welcome idea for The Mandalorian Season 2. After all, it has already been confirmed that the second season will introduce Star Wars: The Clone Wars voice actress Katee Sackhoff as the live-action version of Bo-Katan Kryze, the Mandalorian she portrays in the animated series. Bo-Katan happens to be the leader of the Nite Owls and a lieutenant of the Death Watch so fans are eager to see what she can do to help Djarin in the series.

Fans are still waiting for The Mandalorian Season 2 but it looks like the Star Wars series is already looking towards the future. Showrunner Jon Favreau has already confirmed with Variety that they are already preparing for The Mandalorian Season 3 and getting ready to begin production before the end of the year.

This shouldn't be a huge surprise considering that the second season began filming immediately after the first season of The Mandalorian premiered last year. Hopefully, this will mean there won't be any unnecessary delays on Season 3.

The Mandalorian Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 30.
