The Los Angeles Lakers are NBA champions once more, their 17th title in franchise history. The purple and gold made sure that there would be no deciding game 7, shellacking the Miami Heat in Game 6, 106-93.

But for those who watched the game, the score hardly told the story. The Heat looked pretty exhausted and lacked the energy to stand toe-to-toe with the Lakers. Los Angeles led by as much as 36 points in one stretch although Miami tried its best to rally in the fourth.

Unfortunately, the Lakers' surge was too much to handle for the Heat. When the final buzzer sounded, there were a lot of players who won their first NBA title. Among the first-timers include Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Alex Caruso, Jared Dudley, Kyle Kuzma and Markieff Morris.

However, others have now won two or more. Among those who won the NBA championship twice include JR Smith, Quinn Cook and Rajon Rondo. But of that trio, Rondo is the second player to win the NBA title playing for the Lakers and the Boston Celtics. The first one was Clyde Lovellette who won in 1954 with the Lakers and then had two more with the Celtics in 1963 and 1964, CBS Sports reported.

JaVale McGee and Danny Green won their third. McGee won two with the Golden State Warriors while Green has one from the San Antonio Spurs and the Toronto Raptors.

And of course, LeBron James has the most NBA titles from the lot. He has now won four in total. He won two with the Miami Heat, one with the Cleveland Cavaliers and now with the Lakers. Only James and Green have won an NBA title playing for three different teams.

James and Green become the third and fourth players to win three NBA titles playing for three different teams, NBA India reported. Others who have done it in the past include Robert Horry and John Salley.

Horry was a member of the NBA champion teams Houston Rockets (1994,1995), San Antonio Spurs (2005 and 2007) and the Los Angeles Lakers (2000-2002). Salley on the other hand won it with the Detroit Pistons (1989, 1990), Chicago Bulls (1996) and the Los Angeles Lakers (1999-00).

James is on course to win more NBA titles if his level of play keeps up. He has two years left with the Los Angeles Lakers while Green has one. The Lakers are expected to try and make it back-to-back, possibly upping both their NBA ring totals.
