Chinese gaming studio MiHoYo recently shared that new content would be rolled out in "Genshin Impact" every six weeks in the form of rewards, themed events, and challenges.
In a recently published blog titled "Future Versions and Events," MiHoYo detailed its plan for "Genshin Impact" in terms of content. Aside from the scheduled arrival of content every six weeks, the developer also shared that the update would introduce themed-events, rewards, and challenges that would align with both in-game and real-world holidays. Updates will arrive on Wednesdays and could introduce anywhere from a map expansion to a new event or to an addition to the game's story.
According to MiHoYo, these updates are some of its ways to introduce new content to "Genshin Impact" regularly. It also aims to provide fresh and distinct activities for players to experience. On November 11, the first update, known as version 1.1, will drop, which, according to Reddit user Zlunlu, will roll out bug fixes to optimize the game's stability.
The first update would also introduce an encyclopedia so players could chronicle plants, monsters and animals that they discover as they explore the expansive world of "Genshin Impact." It is also rumored that an event titled "Unreconciled Star" would roll out along with this update.
Another update will be released to "Genshin Impact" on December 23, which is the build 1.2. This new update is anticipated to introduce a new location called Dragonspine Snow Mountain. Unlike Tevyat, which is filled with beaches and rolling green hills, the upcoming location would reportedly feature snow-capped peaks.
"Genshin Impact" version 1.3 would arrive sometime in February 2021. The said update would introduce the Lantern Rite Festival. While the title sounds magical, there are no specific details as to what this would be about. MiHoYo will surely share some more information about these updates moving forward.

It is interesting that the Chinese game developer already detailed its plans for "Genshin Impact" at this stage. Regular updates are a great strategy to keep players refreshed and immersed on the game. Additionally, with the way MiHoYo is handling in-game events, it is making players feel that Treyvat is more like a real place.
Currently, "Genshin Impact" have different regions of Teyvat celebrate various holidays that imitates the real world. Moreover, it makes cities celebrating holidays feel more special. Fans are hoping that the game developer could maintain and even improve these events and updates.
"Genshin Impact" is currently playable and free to play for the PlayStation 4, PC, iOs and Android mobile devices. It is also confirmed to release for the Nintendo Switch.
