The Walking Dead season 11 serves as the final installment of the post-apocalyptic horror series. Fans will see more bloody battles, as well as shocking turns before the show officially concludes. Some speculated that an unexpected twist is coming between Daryl (Norman Redus) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan).

Maggie returned in the originally billed season 10 finale and she's going be part of the story moving forward in The Walking Dead season 11. The character has been missing midway through season 9, and finally reunited with Norman, Carol (Melissa McBride), and others in "A Certain Doom."

However, she reunited with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), as well. Maggie holds a deep resentment for him for the death of her husband, Glenn (Steven Yeun). She watched him brutally killed her other half with a baseball bat, Lucille. Since then, she has vowed revenge several times.

But, when Maggie left in season 9, Negan has been on a transformative journey. He became an important part of the Survivors, the group he once promised to destroy. He killed Whisperer leader Alpha (Samantha Morton) and took care of the young Judith Grimes (Cailey Fleming).

Moreover, Negan played a major part in Beta's death. He distracted him in the battle so Daryl could kill the villain. This major change in Negan made him like a family to the group. Reedus seemingly hinted that his character will side with him over his old friend, Maggie.

During the virtual New York Comic-Con, Reedus said he's excited for Daryl and Negan to start working together. Morgan's character changed and found a family with the group. This means that they'll be taking down their common enemy in The Walking Dead season 11.

Yet, Maggie will have a different opinion when it comes to this matter. She hasn't witnessed Negan's transformation over the past years. She only knows him as the villain who brutally killed her husband with a bat. She doesn't agree with the idea of considering him as a "family."

But, since Daryl and Negan's friendship grows, there's a possibility that Reedus' character will side with the former antagonist over Maggie. Perhaps, the former sees him as a brother now and he'll do whatever he can in order to protect him

If Maggie seeks revenge and tries to kill Negan, Daryl won't stand by and do nothing. He could use deadly force to stop it from happening. For now, fans need to wait and see what else is coming for them in The Walking Dead season 11.

The final installment hasn't started production at the moment. The series needs to air the six bonus episodes in season 10 before proceeding with the series finale. These episodes are confirmed to be dropping earlier next year. After that, we can expect the arrival of the new season.

The Walking Dead season 11 could arrive at some time in 2021.
