The hit battle royale shooter "PUBG Mobile" is getting a new beta update, offering an early look at the upcoming content. Version 1.1 is now available to beta testers, and it introduces new maps and new features. The major highlight of the update is the new mode called Metro Royale.

The new "PUBG Mobile" beta update releases just a few days after the patch notes were revealed on the game's official Discord channel. Based on the patch notes, the new Metro Royal mode introduces a pre-configured weapons and equipment loadout, new maps, a new weapon called Tikhar, new challenges, and a special black market location.

For the regular classic mode, the new "PUBG Mobile" beta update features the Winter mode that was available in the game in the late part of 2019. Players also get a new Spike Trap item and the ability to hurl melee items towards enemies. The new Spike Trap item appears to be a tool to immobilize vehicles, while the new ability to throw items is borrowed from the game's PC version.

Back in August, "PUBG Mobile" announced its plan of collaborating with "Metro Exodus." The game is a horror first-person shooter playable on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo, PS4, and Google Stadia. The new mode is an interesting addition to the hit shooter game.

The new Metro Royale mode in "PUBG Mobile" features two new maps. These maps are basically cut portions of Erangel but come with different locations, buildings and names. The maps' terrain still gives the Erangel feel, however, infrastructures are totally different in the new mode.

The main objective of the new Metro Royale mode in "PUBG Mobile" is for players to enter the game with a loadout, search for enemies, collect loots, reach the extraction point and sell or upgrade loadout in the market place. It seems that it is fairly easy to hunt opponents in the new mode, however, it could be because it is the game's beta version.

The new Metro Royale mode goes beyond the current offering of "PUBG Mobile." It offers up to six levels of armor protection and backpack. Advanced levels of weapon can be unlocked in this new mode, as well.

It is not yet revealed when this new set of content would roll out to "PUBG Mobile." The beta 1.1 update is now available on beta servers and players interested to get their hands on the game's build could download it now.
