Eddie Saville's (David Giuntoli) fate is one of the biggest concerns entering A Million Little Things season 3. He was hit by a car while crossing the street in the season 2 finale, leaving fans worried about his future. It remains to be seen whether or not the character survives his current situation.

A Million Little Things season 3 picks up that massive cliffhanger in the second installment. Eddie's life is on the line and there's a question as to who's responsible for what happened. It could either be an accident or someone really did it on purpose.

We can get a clear answer to that once the series premieres next month. Recently, ABC shared the promo of the new season and focuses on the aftermath of everything that transpired. The clip shows Katherine Kim (Grace Park) calling others to inform about Eddie's current situation.

It also shows other characters coming to the hospital, praying, and in tears. But, perhaps, the most notable scene in the promo is Gary Mendez (James Roday Rodriguez) making an important decision in his life. He made it clear that he doesn't want to lose another friend again.

Because of this, he did his best to reconnect with Maggie Bloom (Allison Miller), who's leaving the town. There's no clear indication that Gary is doing this because he lost Eddie for good. The situation may have just prompted him to make a better decision when it comes to his relationship with Maggie.

However, it should also be noted that the previous installment premiered with an unexpected death: Jon Dixon (Ron Livingston). A Million Little Things season 3 may do something similar, though not necessarily Eddie being dead. After all, he's one of the significant characters in the series.

Speaking to a previous interview with TVLine, showrunner DJ Nash confirmed that the new season kicks off with the cliffhanger in the season 2 finale. We're going to find out in the premiere whether Eddie is dead or alive. He further hinted that the accident impacted Katherine and their son, Theo (Tristan Byon).

A Million Little Things season 3 could see some significant changes in Eddie's life. He could have a new perspective in his life if ever he survives. The accident may have created something in him, which leads to him not being like his old self.

This particular incident could lead to new revelations and secrets, as well. And despite the uncertainties about his fate, Eddie's accident could change the course of the story. Viewers should be prepared for more drama and emotional stories moving forward.

A Million Little Things season 3 will be arriving on Thursday, Nov. 19, on ABC.
