The Promised Neverland anime adaptation may have only started, but the manga series will soon come to an end. As the TV series has just covered the beginning, its source is about to reach the climax, four years after dominating the scene.

According to Epic DopeThe Promised Neverland creators Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu revealed in August that the manga series is about to begin its final arc. So far, it has dropped 175 chapters.

Here, the main conflict between humans and demons are already resolved. The "institutional murder and exploitation" brought by the ancient treaty, called The Promise, has also ended.

Despite its success, Shirai and Demizu vowed not to extend its story "too much further." They originally planned to end the series with just 20 to 30 volumes.

So, as The Promised Neverland enters its final arc, the beginning of an end is about to come. The remaining plot will feature how the new system will work as Mujika becomes the Demon Queen and Emma is now the leader of the cattle children.

The final arc may reveal how the two will "establish peace through administrative measures" between them. Also, fans may see the new details of the Promise between Emma and the One.

Meanwhile, despite the manga's imminent end, Anime News Network revealed The Promised Neverland would have a fourth novel, titled The Promised Neverland: The Films of Memories, by Nanao. It will feature the stories told in the DVD booklet and Jump Giga magazine of the anime series' first season.

It will also include a new short story. The new novel will be shipped out on December 4, along with the franchise's fanbook.

In addition, The Promised Neverland is now available for streaming on Netflix. Fans who want to relive the adventure of the anime series' first season can now enjoy watching its 12 episodes again.

The show has been praised for the different take of its horror theme, Thrillist noted. Instead of featuring bloody and gruesome imagery, it relies more on the emotional story of the characters.

It effortlessly has a creepy atmosphere that, by just merely watching the characters talking, can send shivers down the spine. The Promised Neverland revives the horror anime at the time it is starting to fade away.

Its fresh take on the genre makes it's a big hit to fans and critics alike. Aside from terrifying the viewers, The Promised Neverland will also break their hearts with its narrative.
