Several individuals noticed that the Kardashian-Jenner siblings continue to break COVID-19 protocols. While many of the family members remain at the center of controversies due to their partying ways amid the lockdown, the eldest, Kourtney Kardashian, joined the rest of her sisters following her conspiracy theories about masks.

Cheat Sheet reported that the Poosh founder posted a shocking theory on social media during Halloween. She said that the "blue masks" required at grocery stores and airplanes "are made of PTFE."

She claimed that this is a "carcinogen," which contains synthetic fluoride. Kardashian, then, related her statement to an alleged claim from Cancer.org, and seemingly concluded that these masks cause cancer.

Kourtney Kardashian's post immediately sparked discussions on social media. It, also, attracted the attention of many publications resulting in the ultimate debunking of the claim.

The New York Post published a report informing the public that there is no truth to these theories. Dr. William Cance assured the publication that there is no evidence proving PTFE in surgical masks causes cancer.

The expert, who is the chief medical and scientific officer of the American Cancer Society, added that he, as a "surgical oncologist," alongside thousands of medical professionals, wears these masks for years now to protect them from infections. The report, later on, included other reputed sources to expose the truth behind Kardashian's theories.

Amid the debacle, netizens, including medical experts from various parts of the globe, slammed Kourtney Kardashian on social media. Fox News released an article containing some of the criticisms thrown toward the celebrity.

One doctor described the 41-year-old star's Instagram story as "unbelievably dangerous." The post, also, urges other "scientists" and medical experts to continue "combating misinformation" despite its "tiring" process.

Several doctors followed suit and criticized Kardashian for her "unacceptable" move. An NHS doctor even pointed out that the Keeping Up With The Kardashian celebrity has over 100 million followers, making the whole controversy a lot more damaging.

Many netizens shared their thoughts, as well, in the comment sections of the experts' tweets. "Stupidity has no limits," one individual said, adding that Kourtney Kardashian's move is "infuriating." A different Twitter user added that the whole thing makes her "sad" and "angry."

Another critic pointed out that the people who listen to Kardashian have "bigger problems than COVID-19." One netizen, then, responded that it is "the problem" if her followers would believe her over any other scientists and doctors.

Despite all the criticisms, Kourtney Kardashian remains silent about the issue. She, alongside the rest of the family, are not seemingly bothered by the fuss as they continued with their Halloween celebrations.
