Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have stopped being popular magazine cover choices. Apparently, issues with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex photos are no longer selling off the newsstands according to an editor.

Ingrid Seward of Majesty Magazine revealed in the Royally Obsessed podcast that they have been putting fewer photo covers of Meghan and Harry as it seems readers no longer find the couple interesting. Seward said she compared notes with the people at Hello! and they, apparently, observed the same thing.

The editor said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have many beautiful photos for the cover. However, as much as she would like to have them in her magazine, it doesn't seem to work anymore. Seward said that she finds this latest development both "weird and interesting."

The revelation comes as a poll conducted by YouGov showed that Meghan and Harry's popularity dropped in October. It is, reportedly, the lowest rating for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from the public.

Some 47 percent of the British public still favors Harry but the survey's result is a stark contrast to the results in March, where the Duke of Sussex's rating was 19 points higher. Meghan, on the other hand, received a 59 percent score from those who rate her negatively. The Duchess of Sussex had a favorability score of 33 percent only.

Seward believes that Meghan and Harry disappointed the British people, who may feel that the Duke of Sussex deserted them. But podcast host Roberta Fiorito, who is based in America, said that she feels Meghan and Harry's popularity in the U.S. soared after they moved out of London and picked California to set their roots.

The Sussex pair have been staying on the west coast since March and has not returned to London due to the travel restrictions brought on by the pandemic. Harry and Meghan are, also, reportedly, not planning to visit the royal family for Christmas.

However, fans of the Sussex couple said that Meghan and Harry are not affected by the drop in their popularity in the U.K. They said that it would be worse if the Sussexes stayed in the U.K. In California, Meghan and Harry are free to do what they want because they are no longer bounded by royal protocols.

The fans defend that Meghan and Harry are now private individuals with jobs, a new charity, and their own house. They are building their new life away from the royal fold and are no longer competing for attention from Prince Charles, Camilla Parker-Bowles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
