Meghan Markle and Denmark's Princess Mary are likely not going to be friends despite seemingly experiencing the same things when they joined the royal family. Royal experts unpacked why the two women do not have much in common apart from marrying a prince.

According to royal author Phil Dampier, Princess Mary relocated to a different country when she married her husband, Crown Prince Frederik, just like Meghan Markle, who uprooted her life in Toronto to be Prince Harry's wife.

Mary hailed from Australia and worked at an advertising and marketing firm but she took her "princess boot camp" quite seriously when she became part of the Danish royal family. Meghan, on the other hand, showed reluctance for her role as a member of the royal family. Dampier believes that Mary would highly disapprove of Meghan and Prince Harry's decision to quit their royal roles.

The royal expert said that the Crown Princess of Denmark would be "horrified" by Meghan's action. Mary might not even be impressed that Meghan quit the British royal family barely two years after she married into it.

To clarify, however, Dampier said that Meghan and Mary have yet to meet each other. But, Dampier thinks that Mary might have more in common with Kate Middleton, Prince William's wife, given their future roles behind their husbands, who are heirs to the thrones. According to Daily Mail, the two royal women have actually formed a friendship after meeting each other in Copenhagen nearly a decade ago.

Sources said that Kate and Mary lean on each other for support and have talked about working together when their transitions happen. Kate is 10 years younger than Mary but they have more in common than other people may realize. During royal events, where the two families are present, Kate and Mary would often stand or sit next together.

Meanwhile, royal observers think that Meghan and Kate will be facing each other in person for one of the most anticipated celebrity weddings next year. According to Daily Express, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received invites from David and Victoria Beckham, whose son, Brooklyn is set to marry Nicola Peltz.

Victoria apparently grew closer to Meghan at the start of the year amid the Megxit drama. The Beckhams, on the other hand, are also friends with the Cambridges.

But the celebrity wedding of next year could be pushed back to 2022 due to the pandemic. Either way, however, royal expert Ingrid Seward said that the Cambridges and the Sussexes' rift might still not be mended by then.
