Melania Trump officially launched the East Wing's initiative "Be Best" in 2018. The campaign focuses on three main pillars, which are the youth's well-being, cyberbullying, and opioid abuse.

Within two years, the First Lady claims to have accomplished several of the campaign's goals. However, not many people believe it, adding the project has since met with criticisms due to its "flaws."

The Daily Express listed some of the "flaws" of the initiative. The publication even referred to it as "doomed" because of all the lack of materialization.

The campaign, reportedly, appears to have "missed" most of its goals in the two years of its course. Not to mention, controversies continue to plague the advocacies, alongside Melania.

Donald Trump's wife promised to "expand" the reach and focus of "Be Best" during its first anniversary. However, reports concluded in its second-year that the campaign still lacks "legislation goals."

CNN added that Melania Trump's initiative may have already accomplished a few things, including the "advancing funding" for the issues under the advocacies. But, most of the programs already exist within the government.

Aside from the redundancy of the programs, the First Lady, also, noted in her earlier speeches that she would make an international trip under the banner of "Be Best." But, this never materialized with sources claiming that the East Wing postponed it for yet undisclosed reasons.

One of the biggest "condemnations" of "Be Best" came after Melania Trump touted the campaign on social media amid Donald Trump's "spat" with Greta Thunberg. The U.S. President posted a series of criticisms toward the then-16-year-old activist after Time's magazine named her as the Person of the Year in 2019.

The public immediately called the First Couple out due to Trump's act of bullying a minor. Netizens slammed and called them "hypocrites" considering that "Be Best" advocates against cyberbullying.

Amid all the controversies surrounding the East Wing's campaign, Melania Trump recently made an update about it on social media. She touted that "Be Best" continues to "shine light" on programs that matter today.

Fox News reported that this was the first time the First Lady spoke out since the election day. While the post appears to be pleasant, netizens mocked her in the comment section.

Many of them tweeted the hashtags, "Be Quiet" and "Be Gone," to mock her initiative, as well as poke fun at her current position. Several of the Twitter users seemingly implied that their camp will not win the race against Joe Biden, adding that she should start packing her things now.
