Activision recently shared some details about "Call of Duty: Mobile" Season 12, including its title "Going Dark."
On its official Twitter account, "Call of Duty: Mobile" announced the upcoming update's title and teased that it is launching this week. The accompanying clip features fan-favorite characters in the franchise like Captain Price and Ghost. Nothing much is shown on the teaser, but Activision recently announced that a new map from "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" dubbed as hackney Yard is coming to the game.
For the uninitiated, Hackney Yard is an expansive map with a couple of variants in "Modern Warfare." One is set during the day while the other is at night time. Activision has been hinting about a night mode for certain maps in "Call of Duty: Mobile." Interestingly, the upcoming season's name and the imminent arrival of the hackney yard led many fans to speculate that a night mode map is finally coming to the hit mobile shooter game.
"Call of Duty" insider DannyIntel previously shared on Twitter that the Hackney yard would feature the much-awaited Night Mode. However, unlike the Standoff Halloween map, the leak claimed that players would not be able to see anything in the Hackney Yard if they don't have a thermal scope. It is worth noting that while this is just a leak, it is based on the datamined game's file, the same source where dataminers uncovered details about the Alcatraz map.
Activision has not yet revealed the start time and date of "Call of Duty: Mobile" Season 12. However, the game notes that the Season 11 Battle Pass would end on Nov. 11. Based on the previous season's launch, the next season usually starts 24 hours after the end of the last season. Essentially, Season 12 could start on Nov. 12.
Aside from the new Battle Pass bearing new skins, emotes, soldiers, and a lot more, Season 12 could feature a military theme, according to DoteSports. The site reported that a couple of new weapons are also coming in "Call of Duty: Mobile" with the new season. "COD Mobile" also confirmed that a new battle royale class called Refitter is coming alongside the new season.

The BR class' passive repairs and boosts the durability of the player's vehicle and armor. Along with this class is the Armor Pack. When picked up by the player and teammates, the Armor Pack, along with the Refitter, decreases their bullet damage.
