There is little doubt that fans are already excited about VICTON's new album, which will be released this December. Unfortunately, the comeback needs to be postponed as the members decided to self-isolate following COVID-19 testing. Although Seungsik, Seungwoo, Chan, Sejun, Hanse, Byungchan, and Subin all tested negative, the idols chose to self-isolate voluntarily.

The news was confirmed by VICTON's company PlayM Entertainment on the group's official social media accounts. According to the press release, the company learned that an "external staff member" from a recent 1theK web variety content has tested positive for COVID-19. The same staff member was reportedly involved in content related to VICTON's schedule, leading to all seven members and five PlayM staff to undergo examinations on November 23.

Luckily, all VICTON members and PlayM staff tested negative for the virus. Nevertheless, the company explained why it would be necessary for the idols and staff members to self-isolate after the testing.

"The investigation surrounding the COVID19 carrier and their potential routes is still ongoing, and so as a precautionary measure to ensure to safety of all people involved, the VICTON members and the PlayM staff members have decided to self-quarantine for 14-days voluntarily," the statement reads.

The news was met with disappointment, but Alices still expressed their gratitude, knowing that Seungsik, Seungwoo, Chan, Sejun, Hanse, Byunghan, and Subin have tested negative for the virus. Unfortunately, it looks like the wait for the VICTON comeback will be a little longer than expected.

"Furthermore, due to the sudden increase in COVID19 cases and the reinstatement of social distancing protocol phase #2, there have been various sudden schedule changes and other issues which will make it more difficult to continue comeback preparations; as a result, we have inevitably decided to postpone the album release," the statement reads.

VICTON's comeback was set to be on December 1 as they would be releasing their first full album VOICE: The Future Is Now. The album would feature 13 songs including the lead track "What I Said" and four new solos from Seungsik, Chan, Sejun, and Hanse. Interestingly, Kang Seungsik's solo song "Carry On" will feature lyrics from the other six members. This has led to fans speculating that the other members decided to write the song for Seungsik after taking over as the group's leader when Seungwoo left to join Produce 101 last year.

For now, PlayM Entertainment has not yet revealed VICTON's new comeback date. However, there is a possibility that the new album will be released early next year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
