Eddie Saville (David Guintoli) is the biggest concern entering A Million Little Things season 3. His life is hanging on the line after being hit by a car at the end of the previous installment. Now, his fate is in question and it remains to be seen whether or not he survives.
Recently, ABC released the new promo of A Million Little Things season 3. The clip focused on several characters dealing with the aftermath of Eddie's accident. His wife, Katherine Kim (Grace Park), in particular, is hugely affected and leans on her friends for support.
It looks like the promo wants viewers to believe that something bad may have happened to Eddie. Based on the reactions of the characters, he might be in a critical condition. The early run of the premiere may revolve around trying to save Guintoli's character.
Some promotional photos also showed that Grace and others gather together at the hospital as though they're waiting for some sort of result. Perhaps, the accident damaged Eddie's certain body parts, and he needed to undergo surgery in order to save his life.
The good thing is that viewers will find out whether or not Eddie survived. Showrunner DJ Nash told TVLine that A Million Little Things season 3 kicks off with the accident, which could have a long-term effect on Guintoli's character and the people around him.
The accident could lead to significant changes in his life in the event that he survives. But, if ever he doesn't, it could be a huge blow to the entire storyline given that he's one of the most essential characters. While there's no guarantee he'll make it through, there's no indication that he dies, as well.
Also, there's a question of whether it's an accident or someone really wanted to hit Eddie. The title of the premiere episode is "Hit & Run," which suggests that whoever's behind it has no plans to help him. As the investigation begins, a few secrets might be revealed.
Beyond Eddie's storyline, A Million Little Things season 3 will also address other characters' storylines. Rome (Romany Malco) and Regina (Christina Moses) face a tough decision about the future of their family, while Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) strives for herself.
Maggie (Allison Miller), on the other hand, will start her new life in Oxford. As for Gary (James Roday Rodriguez), he decided to enter a new relationship with Darcy (Floriana Lima). Amidst all the uncertainties, some characters will still find their own happiness.
A Million Little Things season 3 is set to premiere on Thursday, Nov. 19, on ABC.
