Kate Middleton sent out a new video to announce that she's releasing the results of her 5 Big Questions survey this week. However, royal fans were more drawn to the Duchess of Cambridge's appearance with her "sad eyes" and tired-looking face.
Followers of the Cambridge royals posted their comments about Kate's appearance on social media. According to Daily Express, some speculated that Prince William's wife might have been crying before the video recording as she looked quite sad.
Body language expert Nick Davies noted that Kate does have "slightly puffy eyes" in the video. But, the tiredness on her face could be due to the extra pressure she's experiencing with Prince William. Royal commentators said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are taking on more work this year because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, left the royal fold.
Davies also noted that Kate's "micro-expression of sadness" couldn't be missed in her latest video, which comes after her last smile. The expert reiterated that she looks stressed as her duties and responsibilities pile up.
Aside from her royal work, Kate is hands-on with her three kids -- Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Davies said that it's only human for the royal to feel overwhelmed because she's having a hectic year despite lockdown.
Kate and Prince William continue to work harder for the Firm while staying mostly at home. They've done video conferences regularly to touch base with their various charities. They've also stepped up when other members of the royal family, such as the Queen, have to remain isolated due to their vulnerability from the virus.
Meanwhile, Kate launched the 5 Big Questions survey in January 2020 to create changes that will benefit U.K.'s future generations. The Duchess of Cambridge toured different parts of the country to speak with parents, carers, and educators and gather vital information about the initiative.
Kate also launched the survey online, which received over 500,000 respondents. For the first time, the Duchess of Cambridge spoke at length about her children and her difficult pregnancies in the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast with Giovanna Fletcher.
The mother-of-three said that while 2020 has been a challenging year, there hasn't been a better time to raise the issue of families. Kate shared that she wants the conversation on the family to be an important foundation in every child's life as it will bear lifelong positive outcomes.
