Jeremy Lin’s NBA dream could be fulfilled soon if things go his way. He has been linked to several teams with the Golden State Warriors looming as his likely landing spot. If so, this would make a return to the same team that the 32-year-old played for back in during the 2010-11 season.

For those who have followed the NBA career of Jeremy Lin, most will admit that it was not a memorable one. Regardless, it has been almost 10 years since that break and the American-Asian has improved by leaps and bounds.

If the Warriors don’t sign him up, there is another team waiting in the wings in the Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn is a team that Lin played for from 2016-18.

But unlike the Warriors, Lin has not gained any advanced interest from the Nets. The 6-foot-3 guard has better chances returning to the Bay Area squad and was even spotted playing ball with some Golden State players on Instagram. That included Eric Paschall, Kevon Looney, Marquese Chriss and Alen Smailagic courtesy of Jordan Jimenez.

Until an NBA team officially signs him, there is one team waiting in the wings to take him back. The Beijing Ducks, the same team he played for last season in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), wants him back. They are trying to convince him to give up his NBA dream and play for the CBA instead, the South China Morning Post reported.

The Ducks wanting Lin back is understandable. He helped the team reach the CBA semi-final before bowing to Guangdong Southern Tigers, The Tigers ended up becoming the CBA champions last season.

Regardless, Lin had a fine showing for the Ducks last season. He averaged 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists last season. His decision to pursue his NBA dream means the Ducks need to find someone else to fill his void. That is unless no NBA team picks up the Harvard University graduate.

Financially, it could make sense for Lin to play in the CBA rather than the NBA. He is likely to be signed to a meager deal and come off the bench. But Lin’s NBA dream may be more than just money, meaning all the Ducks can do is wait.

NBA free agency is ongoing and Lin’s chances of hooking up with an NBA team remains possible. So if the Ducks want him, they will have to wait – and hope that no NBA clubs pick up the one-time NBA champion for the 2020-21 seasons.
