Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be under a review with Queen Elizabeth by March 2021 or a year after they decided to give up their royal work. According to a royal expert, a key factor of this review will be the Sussex pair's Netflix deal.

Royal editor Richard Fitzwilliams said in an interview with Daily Express that Meghan and Prince Harry are raring to launch their new non-profit foundation, Archewell, which was delayed by the pandemic. However, the Sussex couple will also have to be involved with their work with Netflix in 2021 and produce some documentaries, movies, and TV shows in line with their advocacies.

Harry and Meghan signed their multi-million Netflix deal in September, which helped them achieve financial independence within six months of giving up their working royal status. Fitzwilliams further said that this Netflix deal could be a "problematic area" because of the streamer's royal drama series, The Crown.

The royal expert noted that Harry and Meghan's deal with Netflix has no direct links to The Crown. However, there are concerns about their association with the streaming platform in light of how their most popular series has depicted Prince Charles, Princess Diana, Camilla, and even Queen Elizabeth.

Other royal commentators also believe that Meghan and Harry might be "in trouble" with the royal family because of their Netflix deal. The hosts of talkRadio, Mike Graham and Olivia Utley said that Harry had not said anything about how The Crown played out his parents' marriage while sources close to Prince Charles and Prince William have expressed their disgust.

Graham and Utley think that Prince Harry cannot speak up because their current paychecks are coming from the streamer. The commentators said that this situation puts the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a "massive conflicts of interest," which will likely be taken up during their review.

Meanwhile, royal biographer Robert Lacey thinks that the upcoming review with Queen Elizabeth will conclude with Harry and Meghan definitively losing their His/Her Royal Highness (HRH) status. The royal expert said that, currently, Harry and Meghan had suspended use of their distinctions, but they could permanently not have the HRH reinstated after March 2021.

But in a conflicting assessment, Fitzwilliams thinks that there's a good chance the Queen will restore Harry's military roles in 2021. He said that no one had been assigned to take over these honorary works left by the Duke of Sussex, and since he's still passionate about his military life, Queen Elizabeth might hand back these responsibilities despite Megxit.
