Meghan Markle was apparently given a piece of important advice by one of her former co-stars on Suits. When actor Rick Hoffman learned that his friend was dating Prince Harry, he only had one thing to say to the future Duchess of Sussex.

Hoffman said via the Today show that he was in disbelief when he first found out that Meghan was dating a royal. The actor said he sat down with Meghan and told her to slow it down and not let the British prince hurt her.

Meghan and her Suits co-star are very close to each other that she agreed to be Hoffman's date during a wedding in Paris. This happened before she met Prince Harry and Hoffman recalled that Meghan was kind enough to offer to join him because he'd just broken up with someone and was going to be dateless at a wedding.

The actor is not the only one protective of Meghan when she started dating a high-profile personality like Queen Elizabeth's grandson. Actress Sarah Rafferty, one of the duchess' closest friends, said that Meghan is like family because they've worked together longer than the friendships people form in high school or college.

Suits episode director and actor Tim Matheson said that Meghan had this special aura about her from the first time they met in 2011. Speaking with Page Six, Matheson said that he found Meghan to be a charming, down-to-earth woman with a uniqueness about her that the camera loves.

When things got really serious between Meghan and Harry, she did not forget to ask her Suits family to witness her royal wedding in London. Hoffman's wedding appearance went viral in a now-deleted post on Instagram because he apparently sat near someone with halitosis.

The Duchess of Sussex's acting career is now behind her. Although she's back in Los Angeles and has quit the royal life with Prince Harry, insiders said she would not be working in front of the cameras anymore.

Meghan and Prince Harry closed a multi-million Netflix deal in the fall, but the Sussex pair's work as producers will be behind the camera. However, they might need to be on-camera for some of the documentaries they plan to make, but there will still be more acting involved for the former TV star.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to focus on establishing their new foundation, Archewell, along with their work on Netflix.
