Fans of Meghan Markle have launched another fundraising campaign after learning that the Duchess of Sussex had a miscarriage in July, and their efforts will carry over for the whole of December, the month of gift-giving.

According to Daily Express, the Sussex Squad initiated the fundraiser "in honor of Harry and Meghan's angel." The group also dedicated their new campaign to Karyn Collins, a member of the fans club who succumbed to cancer in October.

Initially, the Sussex Squad had a goal of reaching $1,300 (£1,000). Within a day, however, the group surpassed their target when the money raised reached $2,500 (£1,900).

But as of the second day, Meghan's fans were able to go beyond their target at 244 percent with a total collection of $3,200 (£2,450). The group still has the rest of the month to entice more contributions but 94 people have, so far, donated to the fundraiser as of press time.

Meghan's fans intend to give the money to a UK-based charity for children. Tiny Tickers, which was founded in 1999, helps kids with heart conditions.

In 2019, Prince Harry and Meghan highlighted the charity on their Instagram, which led to more donors. This enabled Tiny Tickers to purchase three new heart monitors that saved babies' lives. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to support Tiny Tickers because it operates at the grassroots level, per the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, following the baby loss, Prince Harry reportedly needs to deal with another heartbreaking news as her godmother, Lady Celia Vestey, suddenly died last weekend. The 71-year-old was also a friend of Queen Elizabeth and was part of the royal's racing circle.

Prince Charles was fond of Lady Celia as well, which is why she was chosen to be one of Harry's godparents, along with Lady Sarah Chatto, Prince Andrew, Gerald Ward, Carolyn Bartholomew, and Vryan Organ. According to Newsweek, Prince Harry got in touch with the family of his late godmother to extend his condolences.

Amid the sad news, however, royal experts think that Prince Harry and Meghan's relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton is on the mend. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have apparently been keeping in touch with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are still based in California.

Prince Harry and Meghan have no plans to come home for the holidays due to the COVID-19 travel risks. Instead, the couple is excited to decorate their new mansion for the holidays, where they will be spending their first Christmas in America as a family.
