Metta World Peace, also known as Ron Artest to NBA followers, has no plans of trying out boxing. The possibility cropped up when most felt that he was the best person to get retribution for the knockout that Nate Robinson suffered at the hands of YouTuber Jake Paul.

Peace tweeted that is not interested in taking up boxing and fighting anyone or for charity. Further, not even big money can change his mind, hinting that he is leaving boxing to the ones truly into it. He ended his tweet by wishing all fighters and upcoming fighters good luck.

However, this does not mean that Peace is not interested in facing Paul. If the 23-year-old is interested, Peace prefers to meet him in a game of one-on-one basketball. As far as physicality and rough plays from the 41-year-old retired NBA star, such remains to be seen. Peace tweeted that towards Paul when the YouTuber knocked out Robinson cold over last Nov. 28.

The possibility of seeing Peace lace up some gloves also grew when the one-time NBA champion posted a picture on Instagram showing him alongside Tyson and another former NBA bad boy in Dennis Rodman. There is no telling if any discussion was made about Peace possibly fighting in the Legends Only League.

Despite the decision of Peace, Paul is not expected to fall short of potential opponents. There are familiar names in the sports scene ready to square off with him. But the names at the top of his list are mixed martial artist Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis.

Retired boxer Floyid Mayweather Jr. is also on the list but little has progressed. However, there is another former and legit boxer who wants a piece of Paul. He is no other than former boxing champion and actor Antonio Tarver.

In an Instagram post, Tarver wanted to exact revenge on Paul for what he did to Robinson. The 52-year-old criticized the YouTuber for facing opponents who had little to no boxing experience. Tarver dared him to get into the ring with him.

“I really want to kick [Jake Paul's] a-- for what he did to [Nate Robinson] last night and rid boxing of these clowns once and for all. He fought a complete novice so fighting me shouldn’t be a problem...[Mike Tyson,] make this fight [at] Legends League 2. I’m considering a full comeback after last night," his post read.
