Paul Pogba with Manchester United is not always a pretty picture. The Premier League giants treat the Frenchman as one of their main stars despite his perceived restlessness and inconsistency. Pogba had attempted to leave the club many times in the past and his agent claimed the exit plan is happening next summer.

Superagent Mino Raiola spoke with Italian publication Tuttosport and declared his client is looking for a change of setting next season. Pogba is tied with Old Trafford until 2022 but according to Raiola, the midfielder will demand a transfer and it's best for United to release the star.

"It's over between Manchester United and Pogba ... I believe the best solution for everyone is that he leaves in the next transfer window," Raiola said, and per the report by ESPN.

The Italian said Pogba is no longer with the Red Devils. The World Cup winner seemed convinced that "a change of scenery" will allow him to express himself anew, which is no longer possible if he remains with United.

Given that the 27-year-old has no intention of renewing his contract with the club, Raiola said United must face up with the reality of losing Pogba. That is the best option for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side as the alternative is to let the star walk away in 2022 for nothing.

And there is no assurance that the Frenchman will still play with zest while seeing through his contract.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said United should welcome the likelihood of losing Pogba with the player taking the initiative. The pundit said that if Raiola will make good on his words then it is good riddance for the English club.

To begin with, Carragher stressed that Pogba is the most overrated player he has seen so losing the star will not hurt the United squad.

"Get rid! I've been saying this for 12 months. The most overrated player I've ever seen in my life," The Daily Mail reported the Liverpool legend as saying.

Also, Carragher pointed to the same situation when Cristiano Ronaldo was about to leave United for Real Madrid in 2009. The departure affected the Red Devils a great deal and the club had to deal with the situation.

But it's a different situation if Pogba will push ahead with the plan to make a transfer request next year. Carragher said it's not even a hassle for United to see the midfielder go.

If United will take up the advice offered by Carragher, the club can start talking with the teams that were known to have expressed interest in Pogba. The star is thought to be dreaming of a return to Juventus or he could sign up with Real Madrid.

The transfer can be completed in time for the next transfer window in January.
