Prince William and Kate Middleton had an interesting encounter with an eight-year-old cancer patient on one of their stopovers during their Royal Train Tour. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chanced upon Otto Warner at the Bath Spa station and apparently asked to speak to the child and his family.

The boy was on his way home from his last cancer treatment. Prince William and Kate, on the other hand, were headed to a care home but decided to spend a socially-distanced few minutes with the Warners.

Georgie Warner, Otto's mother, said that they had no idea that this special meeting was going to take place. She shared that Prince William and Kate made them feel at ease, and the royal pair naturally drew themselves to Otto and his sisters.

The fateful encounter also took place on the first day of vaccine rollouts in the U.K. The Warners told the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge that it had been quite emotional.

Otto has been undergoing therapy every three weeks in the last six months because he has anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL). His grandfather, a retired medic, saved his life because he knew that Otto's stomach aches were something else. The family got a diagnosis that enabled the doctors to catch cancer early.

From the care home in Bath, William and Kate then visited the frontliners at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, where the Duchess of Cambridge was born. Graham Sims, the chairman of the hospital, enthusiastically greeted Kate by saying, "Welcome back."

William and Kate mostly conducted their visit as an outdoor engagement in line with the government's health and safety guidelines for gathering. The Duke of Cambridge was quite apologetic to the nurses and medical staff because the air was cold.

Kate told some of the nurses that they must know how much the U.K. public values them. William, on the other hand, said that there's finally "light at the end of the tunnel" because of the vaccines.

It comes as Prince William has been rumored to be battling a health crisis himself after his COVID-19 experience in April. According to the National Enquirer, the second in line to the British throne is looking more fatigued and tired in his public appearances because of his serious condition.

But Gossip Cop debunked the news report as a bogus cancer story. It's also not true that Kate is beside herself because of Prince William's illness and is hoping that her husband will reconcile with Prince Harry to "bring peace" to the royal family.
