Manifest season 3 will be introducing a lot of new characters once it returns sometime next year on NBC. The release date remains unknown until now, but the supernatural drama has been generous in sharing updates, especially when it comes to casting news.

Recently, Deadline reported that Mahira Kakkar and Ali Lopez-Sohaili will both have a recurring role in Manifest season 3. They're going to play the characters of Dr. Aria Gupta and Eagan Tehrani, respectively. Here's what viewers need to know about these two new recurring players.

Kakkar's Dr. Aria Gupta is a researcher working on a "top-secret study," which is finding more about the "inexplicable phenomena" in Flight 828. Later on, she met Ben Stone (Josh Dallas), whom she thinks a valuable source of "biological information."

Aria and Ben will be working together to uncover more about the mysteries surrounding the flight. While there is no guarantee they'll get the answer that they desire, their investigation could lead them in learning more about what happened.

Lopez-Sohaili's Eagan Tehrani is one of the passengers of Flight 828. After they returned, he decided to stay off the grid. His photographic memory proved to be useful. He showed up when he and Ben had the same calling. However, the biggest problem is that he could be a "formidable adversary."

In addition to these two, Manifest season 3 has already introduced other characters who could shake up the story moving forward. For instance, Holly Taylor will be a series regular and is set to play the role of Angelina, who's also a passenger of Flight 828.

Also, the estranged brother of Ben's wife, Grace Stone (Athena Karkanis), shows up in the next installment. Warner Miller plays Tarik, who's going to spend more time with the Stone family after helping them when they have nowhere else to run.

Will Peltz recurs as Levi in Manifest season 3. He forms a connection to the Stone family, especially to Ben and Grace's daughter, Olive (Luna Blaise). The two will likely work together and will make further investigations about Flight 828.

Meanwhile, the third installment opens a few months following the events that happened in the season 2 finale. Jared (J.R. Ramirez) meets a new love interest, while Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) and Zeke Landon (Matt Long) finds a new place.

While dealing with certain changes in their lives, the central theme will remain: what really happened to Flight 828. Sibling Ben and Michaela, and other passengers, must find a way how to beat the imminent "expiration dates."

Manifest season 3 is expected to return in 2021.
