Jake Paul continues to list down his preferred list of next opponents with Conor McGregor at the top of the list. But it appears it will be Dillon Danis stepping up to the plate, assuming speculations are on cue.

The 23-year-old could be seen on video passing by a street and hurling a water balloon during a shoot for a sports talk show, “Below the Belt with Brendan Schaub.” It turns out that the man being interviewed was Danis. The 27-year-old could be seen giving chase to Paul’s vehicle, ending up throwing one of the deflated water balloons his way.

"Look, it's Conor McGregor's b---- right there," Paul could be heard saying on the video that went viral on social media.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan was able to watch the whole thing and pointed out how Paul was lucky he never stepped down to face Danis. The 53-year-old pointed out how the three-time Jiu-Jitsu champion would have hurt the YouTuber so bad had he gotten his hands on him.

But other than that, Rogan was wondering how Paul knew where Danis was going to be. It remains to be seen if the whole thing was staged but the UFC personality feels the 23-year-old made a big mistake with the senseless attack.

"How did he know he was gonna be there?" Rogan said. "But then he sped away. Dillon Danis ran up to him and he sped away. Why didn't he get out and fight him?"

If not staged and immediately targeting Danis, it could be a message sent to Conor McGregor. Despite dangling a hefty $50 million contract, the UFC star has yet to respond to Paul’s rants. Danis and McGregor are good friends.

McGregor is busy preparing for Dustin Poirier, someone he is set to face at UFC 257 in January. The Notorious could tackle the Jake Paul challenge, one that is expected to include some proverbial jabs.

Then again, he could opt to just laugh it off and not waste his time. After Poirier, the former UFC champion is expected to face Filipino Manny Pacquiao in a boxing match in 2021.

Pacquiao plans to fight twice in 2021, one in April and the other in September. The latter date could be the one where he faces the brash-talking Irishman.

With that in mind, Paul may settle for Danis but in a boxing match. The YouTuber is unlikely to engage the 27-year-old in a mixed martial arts match, something that he may regret.
