WARNING: This article contains spoilers for SWAT season 4 episode 6. Read at your own risk.

SWAT season 4 episode 7 won't be airing until January 2021 on CBS. The action-drama is on hiatus at the moment, with the winter finale, "Hopeless Sinner," dropping on December 16. When the series returns, viewers can expect more intense stories in "Under Fire."

As per CarterMatt, the rating is one of the reasons why CBS decided not to release SWAT season 4 episode 7 this calendar year. Since the holiday season is here, there might be few viewers tuning in the series. This could lead to dropping in numbers, something that most networks don't want to happen.

Although SWAT season 4 episode 7 is still a few weeks away, fans have been getting updates on what's coming next in the story. Based on the synopsis, the team will be searching for a sniper whose main target is the Los Angeles Fire Department.

This person sets fire around the city to lure some unsuspecting engine companies, which is a reference to the episode title. In some preview photos, Hondo (Shemar Moore) can be seen meeting with the firefighters after the sniper wreaks havoc in Los Angeles.

This proved to be a dangerous mission. Hondo and the rest of the team need to be careful, as one wrong move could already put many lives in jeopardy. Beyond this, SWAT season 4 episode 7 will deliver some personal stories, as well.

For instance, the rivalry between Street (Alex Russell), Chris (Lina Esco), and Tan (David Lim) further heat up. The latter found out that there's an internal betting pool that involves the three of them -- particularly who will win the SWAT leadership competition.

Also, more deep stories are coming for Street. His relationship with Molly (Laura James) will be further explored. They're going to face some problems, especially since his complicated history with his mother is starting to impact his personal life.

Meanwhile, in episode 6, the team deals with a mass shooter. This person works in an office but was eventually fired due to the pandemic. He took out his frustration by shooting up his former workplace -- killing those on the premises. The shooter was the only survivor in the building.

SWAT season 4 episode 7 air on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, on CBS. The series is also available on the CBS website and CBS All Access. The action-drama can also be streamed via Hulu, Amazon Prime, Fubo TV, YouTube TV, and Direct TV.
