Daniel Bryan is no stranger when it comes to WWE main events and the Yes Man threw fair warning the way of reigning Universal Champion Roman Reigns. It appears the 39-year-old wrestler wants a piece of the Tribal Chief although he will go through it the hard way.

Currently tied to a WWE storyline with Reigns’ cousin, Jey Uso, Bryan appeared on Talking Smack and sent a chilling message to Reigns through Paul Heyman. Here is part of what he said.

“If I win the Royal Rumble, that means that I will go to WrestleMania and face whoever’s the Universal Champion. And Paul, I don’t lay claim to being better than many people, at certain things. But I’ll tell you this - I’m a better fighter than Roman Reigns, and I sure as hell am a better wrestler than Roman Reigns,” Bryan said.

The next big WWE pay-per-view is the 2021 Royal Rumble. As most know, the winner of this free-for-all normally headlines Wrestlemania to challenge the WWE title of choice.

As for Bryan, he needs to win the Royal Rumble first before thinking that far. But then again, there are other names mentioned to be facing the Big Dog at Wrestlemania 37.

Bill Goldberg previously took a swipe at Reigns, pointing out how their Wrestlemania 36 showdown never pushed through. Aside from that, he called out the 35-year-old star for stealing his finisher – “The Spear.”

Aside from Goldberg and Bryan, the names of Big E and Drew McIntyre are also in the mix. The former member of the New Day recently won the WWE Intercontinental title in his very first singles match run. Seeing him jostle with Reigns will need hype considering both have yet to get seriously embroiled in a storyline.

McIntyre is an option. However, he could be best of facing a different opponent being the current WWE Raw heavyweight champion. Hence, Bryan challenging Reigns next after Jey Uso could make sense.

This leaves Goldberg’s jab in a curious position. A potential reason behind Bryan’s message is that he could be bumped up to the Wrestlemania challenger role if the WWE Hall of Famer, for some reason, cannot compete at Wrestlemania 37.

Then again, Bryan can always challenge Reigns after Wrestlemania 37. In all, Bryan could be a plan B for the WWE to make sure all bases are covered when the WWE spectacle happens on Mar. 28, 2021.
