YouTuber Jake Paul is looking for a new opponent but nothing has been made official. Several names have been tossed in the hat but it appears the 23-year-old wants to broaden his options.

After proving to Nate Robinson he is no fluke, it is understandable that Paul wants to move down the list of people who hate or don’t believe in him. He has received his fair share of criticism, most bashing him for gloating about boxing but not facing someone who truly knows the sport.

From the list of names he has been trying to provoke, it appears the criticism will continue. Worse, some may end up laughing after seeing his recent social media attacks targeting big names who are minding their own business.

Among the people he has hurled insults to include NBA player LeBron James and NFL players Rob Gronkowski and Dez Bryant. Outside the sports circle, he took a swipe at a couple of celebrities in Kanye West and Ellen DeGeneres as well.

Paul may be pushing his luck and perhaps too far. It remains to be seen who among the people he called out will respond. James is unlikely to oblige, preferring to keep it on social media. Kanye West is likely to do the same while DeGeneres could say a thing or two on her show. But as far as physical contact, it would be surprising if any of those names oblige.

However, the case could be different with Rob Gronkowski. The NFL player had a short stint with the WWE and knows what fighting is all about. However, there is no telling how adept he is in boxing. He is powerful but Paul is likely to have a little bit of advantage.

Viewed differently, Paul is looking more like an individual lost and seeking attention. Rather than continue to call out people who don’t box, it may be high time for him to respond to fighters willing to face him in the boxing ring.

So far, two actual boxers are ready to take him on. Antonio Tarver is sick of his yapping and wants to face him in the boxing ring even at 52.

Seeing how Paul took aim at DeGeneres, an intergender match with Claressa Shields could make more sense. If the YouTuber wants to show everyone that he is a real boxer, lasting against Tarver and Shields is the way to go.
