Meghan Markle was tipped to make an appearance on her former Suits co-star's planned Game Night online fundraiser, after Patrick J. Adams said that a special guest would be joining them on the event.

Adams hosted the charity game night with his wife, actress Troian Bellisario, on Dec. 27. Prior to the game night, the couple informed their followers on social media that they'd have to sign up and tune in to learn the identity of the special guests. Fans were quick to speculate that it will be a Suits reunion with the Duchess of Sussex.

However, when the actual event went live and fans registered on the site to donate, a few were reportedly disappointed that Meghan wasn't there.

The exclusive event did have almost all of the Suits main casts like Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, Gina Torres, Racheal Harris, Amanda Schull, DB Woodside and Abigail Spencer. The actual special guests were Zachary Quinto of the Star Trek fame, Jesse Tyler Ferguson of Modern Family and the creator of Suits, Aaron Korsh.

In October, Adams spoke about reuniting with his former co-star and love interest on Suits. The actor said that he feels intimated now that Meghan is married to Prince Harry and is part of British royalty.

Adams said that he has no doubt he could easily phone Meghan but he's not sure what he'll say to the Duchess of Sussex anymore. The actor admitted that apart from texts and gifts sent to each other after leaving Suits, both their lives have changed after they got married to their respective spouses.

Meghan worked with Adams as girlfriend-boyfriend for six seasons on Suits. Both actors left the show at the same time, and their story arc was hashed out pretty well, with their characters ending up at the altar. At that time, Meghan was also set to marry her real-life prince charming, Prince Harry.

Since leaving Suits, Meghan has been busy with her charity work as a member of the working royals. Two years into her royal role, she quit with the Duke of Sussex. They packed their bags and moved to Los Angeles, where Harry and Meghan have set up their new foundation, Archewell.

Sources close to the Sussex pair said that Meghan has plans to return to Hollywood but not to act in front of the camera. Instead, the Duchess of Sussex will be producing shows and documentaries that will reflect the aspirations and the values of her advocacies with the Duke of Sussex.

The couple will expectedly promote the work of their foundation in their Netflix programs and Spotify podcasts. Experts said that the only way Meghan will be back to acting is if the production is for charitable purposes.
