Snowfall season 4 is officially premiering next year of FX after encountering several setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The crime-drama wasn't able to follow its usual release date schedule as filming has been pushed back. Now, fans were getting updates on what lies ahead in the fourth installment.
Franklin Saint's (Damson Idris) storyline remains to be at the front and center of Snowfall season 4. The first three seasons followed the character slowly building his empire. He's been doing whatever he can in order to get what he wants -- even if there are consequences later on.
The drug trade has helped Franklin accumulate more power, but it comes with a huge cost. The series already featured a lot of deaths and destructions, and that won't stop in the upcoming installment. It'll enter a new era where the war on drugs are prevalent, and the effects are becoming clearer.
Snowfall season 4 also sees Franklin wrestles with his emotions. Some events from his past will be explored, as well. There are revelations along the way, which could potentially impact how things work for him. New faces will also show up and will play a significant part in his life.
In fact, someone for Franklin's past is coming in the latest installment. Adrianna Mitchell is set to play the recurring character, Tanosse. She is the former lover and friend of Idris' character, who has an "inherent sensuality" about her.
Even though Tanosse grew up in the same neighborhood, she and Franklin haven't seen each other for quite a long time. She's described as charming and having a "working-class sophistication." Moreover, her older, who used to be a drug kingpin in the 70s, was currently in prison.
It's yet to be seen whether or not Tanosse is someone whom Franklin can trust. While they had a history, their experiences in life potentially change both of them. Yet, she could have an essential part in her former lover's life in Snowfall season 4.
Aside from Mitchell's Tanosse, the fourth installment will also introduce Antonio Jaramillo's Oscar Fuentes, the new chief of Tijuana Police. No further details were revealed about the character, but he is said to be smart, bold, ambitious, and dangerous.
Snowfall season 4 premieres with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, on FX. Then, the series will debut on FX via Hulu the following day. After the premiere, the show goes on its usual schedule, with one episode airing every week.
