The third season of Star Trek: Discovery has been an exciting one for viewers as well as the crew of the Discovery. After all, the series jumped straight into the 32nd century and sent Michael Burnham into a completely new adventure.

So what's in store for Michael Burnham and the rest of the Discovery crew in Star Trek: Discovery Season 4? it looks like fans will get to follow the crew on their new mission. This means that Trekkies will soon find out what happened to Paul Stamets, Saru, and even Gray.

In the Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 finale, Michael Burnham made a drastic move to prevent Osyraa from jumping away with the Discovery. She jettisoned Paul Stamets from the ship so Osyraa couldn't use him to access the spore drive despite his pleas to save Hugh Culber and Adira. The decision ultimately led to Burnham defeating Osyraa and regaining control of the Discovery.

The final episode also saw Saru choosing to stay with Su'Kal in order to help him start a new life on Kaminar. Saru chose to step down as captain of the Discovery and Michael Burnham was then promoted to captain. That Hope is You, Part 2 concluded with the Discovery setting off to bring dilithium from the nebula to the planets that have been cut off by the Burn.

It's a hopeful conclusion to a dramatic season and co-showrunner Michelle Paradise promises that there will be good things to look forward to in Star Trek: Discovery Season 4. For starters, she confirmed that Paul Stamets will eventually forgive Michael Burnham for what she did to him.

"Ultimately he's going to understand that she was doing what she needed to do at the moment and the thing he couldn't do," Paradise said during her interview with TV Insider (via TrekMovie). She also assured Trekkies that Gray will eventually be seen by the others because "that storyline is incredibly important to [the creative team]."

One of the interesting things that Michelle Paradise confirmed about Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 was that fans will get to see Tilly finding more about herself.

"[Saru] sees strength in [Tilly] she doesn't quite see in herself necessarily and then watching her over the course of the season become more confident in herself to the place where she's ultimately able to serve as Number One and then no one sees it coming but having to essentially be acting captain in this crisis situation and she handles herself beautifully," Paradise said. "What does that mean to come is I'm sure a question she'll be asking herself and we'll be exploring in Season 4."

Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 is expected to begin production soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
