MacGyver season 5 episode 4 is scheduled to be released this weekend on CBS, with the title "Banh Bao + Sterno + Drill + Burner + Mason." This is going to be an interesting episode as Angus "Mac" MacGyver (Lucas Till) will be meeting Desi Nguyen's (Levy Tran) family.
In the recently-released promo of MacGyver season 5 episode 4, Mac can be seen preparing to meet Desi. He's doing whatever he can in order to fit in with them -- and even memorizing key details about their lives. He's also trying to figure out what he's going to call himself in front of them.
Desi, on the other hand, is more worried about not fitting in with her own family. She does not spend most of her time with them, considering the nature of her job. Now, she is finding a way on how to get close to them even though she may find it difficult at first.
However, their meeting with Desi's family goes sideways when her brother was caught in trouble and he desperately needs their help. The two will be working alongside their colleagues to resolve this problem. Perhaps, this might be a way for Desi to be closer to her family.
As for what else is coming, MacGyver season 5 episode 4 is bringing a notable villain. Peter Weller will be reprising his role as Elliot Mason, who returned for a very particular reason. Team Phoenix recognized that he is a terrible person, but they might need his help now.
Mason has already been teased in the title, which means he's going to have a significant part in MacGyver season 5 episode 4. According to the synopsis, Russ Taylor (Henry Ian Cusick) and Matty Webber (Meredith Eaton) are forced to reconnect with this old nemesis.
When their new recruitment candidate was kidnapped, Russ and Matty will ask Mason for assistance. Since they reconnected with this villain, it could have a huge impact on most of them. He may try to harm everyone -- especially Mac -- to return the favor.
Also, the upcoming episode picks up some of the events that happened in episode 3. Mac and Riley Davis (Tristin Mays) the plans for a suitcase nuke. After that, Russ followed and ended up being kidnapped. The good thing is that he was able to get out of his situation, but it comes at a huge cost.
