Meghan Markle once had an awkward interview with Larry King, which left her so flustered after the legendary talk show host said she was "seductive" on her TV show Suits.
The interview from 2013 has been recently making the rounds again following news that King died at a Los Angeles hospital at the age of 87. His family did not disclose the cause of death.
Meghan sat down with King on his show on CNN with Suits co-star Patrick J. Adams. The talk show legend, who had 63 years of experience under his belt, asked the stars about their former jobs and first auditions before tackling their popular legal TV series.
King asked Meghan to describe her character, Rachel, and she simply said that she is a paralegal. But King followed up his question with a one-word observation that the character is a "seductive" woman.
The actress paused to think about how she would reply to King's comment and then laughed uncomfortably. Some fans said Meghan handled the awkward situation "gracefully." Another fan said that King "clearly likes" the actress.
A year before this interview, King also had Meghan on his show to ask about her pro-women advocacies when she became a United Nations ambassador. Before she became the Duchess of Sussex and focused on charity work, Meghan was already doing her part to raise awareness and contribute significantly to the community.
King asked Meghan if her looks have an impact on her charity work. The host did not hide the fact that he thinks Meghan is very attractive. He told her bluntly that she does not look "average" at all.
It's unclear if the Duchess of Sussex has sent her condolences to the family of the deceased. According to CNN, King had been struggling with a lot of health problems in the last year. In December, he was admitted to the hospital for COVID-19.
King also said in 2017 that he had lung cancer surgery. Two years later, he was back at the hospital with angina. The host also suffered from depression after two of his adult children died within days of each other.
Meanwhile, a royal author said that Meghan has such a great charisma that's missing from the royal family. Sean Smith, who wrote Meghan Misunderstood, that the Duchess of Sussex is never dull during interviews because her life experience is different from Harry, or Prince William, or even Kate Middleton.
Smith said in an interview with Daily Star that Meghan actually helped Harry become a better man. His 10 years in the military also helped the royal grow emotionally but it was Meghan who made him better.
