Jill Biden and Joe Biden displayed their affection publicly on Friday. The new First Lady of the United States walked her husband out of the Oval Office and gave him a goodbye kiss.

The Daily Mail reported that the U.S. President boarded the Marine One and left for Walter Reed Hospital. This marked his first official engagement outside the White House since becoming the country's commander-in-chief.

The First Couple had to pull down their black face masks to share their kiss. Reporters witnessed the intimate moment before Biden took the time to talk to the media on the South Lawn.

He said that he and his wife "have been at Walter Reed a lot" these past few years. They spent their Christmas Days at the hospital, adding that the "kids are amazing," and that they are the "real heroes."

Joe Biden headed to the Military Medical Center to visit wounded soldiers. As reported, the hospital "treats thousands of service members and military veterans," including their families, as well.

Earlier that day, Jill Biden had a virtual engagement with military children. The same publication said that it was part of her "Joining Forces Program," which she and Michelle Obama started in the past.

The First Lady's latest Zoom call is just one of the many engagements she already accomplished in her first two weeks inside the White House. Earlier this week, AP News said that, through her numerous virtual appearances, Jill Biden has signaled that "she will be a more active First Lady" than Melania Trump.

As explained, the former First Lady would usually allow "weeks to pass between her public appearances." But, not the former Second Lady as she has already executed many engagements on her first week alone.

Footwear News, later on, released a report about Jill Biden's fashion pieces on Friday. She, reportedly, walked her husband "in style" as she chose to layer up her clothing that day.

On top of her white pleated dress, the First Lady donned a blue blazer and a black ankle-length peacoat. She completed the look with a printed scarf, alongside her face mask.

For her footwear, Biden chose to wear a pair of knee-high suede boots. Based on her appearance, it complemented well the knee-skimming hem of her white dress.

The brand nor the designer were not disclosed, though. But, the publication released a list of suede boots recommendations that appears to be similar to what the First Lady wore.
