Melania Trump and Donald Trump celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary last week. Despite the length of their relationship, the couple still faces a lot of controversies in recent years.

Several individuals even claim that they are heading toward a divorce. But, the former U.S. President once stated that he is a "good husband," according to the Daily Express.

Back in 2008, just three years after their wedding, Trump had an interview with Piers Morgan. The television personality asked him whether he is a "good" partner following all the marriages he had in the past.

At first, the then-real estate mogul responded that he is a "great father." Morgan insisted on answering his question, to which Trump replied that he is one "now," seemingly implying that his third marriage is different from his previous relationships.

The host, however, pushed Donald Trump to elaborate his answers further. So, he asked him to choose which he loved more: his wives or his businesses.

Melania Trump's husband explained that John Paul Getty, who was 1996's world richest person, encountered a similar question in the past. As recalled, Getty had to choose between being the "great financial genius" or having a great marriage.

The tycoon, reportedly, answered that he would rather be himself because "many people have great marriages," and there is only one John Paul Getty. Trump, then, stated that he shares the same belief as him. Nevertheless, he argued that one could also, have both.

The unearthed interview went public, once more, following all the divorce rumors that have continued to develop these past few months. It all sparked after Donald Trump lost the presidential race against Joe Biden.

Many sources alleged that Melania Trump would likely divorce her husband after they exit the White House. Several personalities and insiders agreed to the assertions, even noting that she is already counting every minute until she leaves the former U.S. President.

The speculations have persisted, especially after they left Washington. Her actions during their arrival in Florida further strengthened the divorce rumors before the public.

But, amid all the allegations, there are still some individuals who believe that Melania Trump will not divorce Donald Trump. A separate report from the Daily Express revealed that one of these individuals is society publicist R Couri Hay.

He stated that the former First Couple would stay together, and its likelihood is "99.99 percent." He, also, emphasized that it would shock him if the former First Lady decides to separate from her husband.

The publicist's comments seemingly echoed Stephanie Winston Wolkoff's assertions about the Trumps' relationship. In her latest interviews, the former White House staff continued to point out that Melania is a "loving wife," and that she supports her husband because they have a close relationship.
