Several engaged celebrity couples had to cancel their respective weddings in 2020 due to the pandemic crisis. These include Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, who postponed their special day twice last year.

But, recent reports from tabloids and magazines, like OK!, claimed that they found an "alternative plan" for their ceremony. As alleged, they are eyeing to have their wedding in Hawaii because the "On The Floor" singer loves the tropical island.

The unnamed sources continued that the artist is "sparing no expense," adding that she has already set aside over $10 million for the event. She will even, reportedly, shell out more if needed.

Gossip Cop covered the story and deemed it "suspicious." As explained, it makes no sense how the supposed insider had specific knowledge about Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's wedding plans when the couple themselves appears to have no detailed plans yet.

The reputed publication, also, emphasized that the tabloids and magazines have been releasing bogus stories about the celebrity couple for months now. Hence, these outlets have already lost their credibility since then.

In the end, Gossip Cop said that the whole narrative is "totally false." Besides, the engaged pair has already noted in their previous interviews that they want to go through with the wedding when the time is right.

Speaking to Elle magazine, Jennifer Lopez opened up about her and Alex Rodriguez's thoughts about their supposed 2020 wedding plans. She said that they have already "postponed the wedding twice" because of the pandemic.

The singer, then, stated that they originally planned what they "really wanted to do." However, they no longer know whether they could still "recreate" it in the future, according to People.

Lopez, also, revealed that they have since stopped talking about their wedding. She shared that there is "no rush," and that they want to do it "right" when they can.

A few days after Jennifer Lopez's interview, Alex Rodriguez made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, wherein he, also, talked about their wedding. This came after the celebrity host asked him whether they will continue their original plans this year, according to Us Weekly.

The professional athlete echoed his soon-to-be-wife's statements and noted that they "got bit twice by COVID-19" in 2020. He, later on, joked that "third time's a charm, so, let's hope it's what we want to hear."

Rodriguez asked for Lopez's hand in marriage in 2019. They took their announcement to social media, wherein they posted a photo of the engagement ring.
