Filipino band Sponge Cola has dropped the music video for "Siguro Nga," the song inspired by Han Ji-pyeong, the second lead character fondly called "Good Boy" in the popular South Korean Netflix series Start-Up.

Following a swoon-worthy Facebook Live performance in December, Sponge Cola dropped the music video Wednesday. It features the real-life couple and YouTube vloggers Jai Asuncion and Agassi Ching as lovers trying to come to terms with their separation.

Sponge Cola guitarist Armo Armovi said that the concept for the music video played around nostalgia and honoring someone who is no longer around. Vocalist Yael Yuzon said that they cast Asuncion and Ching as they are big fans of the couple's YouTube vlogs and they felt connected to their actual love story.

Parts of the video also featured the same locations as the movie Start-Up.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan Philippines, Yuzon said that he was inspired to write "Siguro Nga" after watching the ninth episode of the Korean drama series, where Ji-pyeong uttered his famous line about the guy not ending up with the girl of his dreams. Initially, Yuzon thought of the title "Team Good Boy" for the song but after a few tweaks, the band settled for "Siguro Nga."

Start-Up, released on Netflix in December 2020, follows the rise of a young group of would-be entrepreneurs. At the heart of the series is a romantic love triangle involving Ji-pyeong (Kim Seon-ho), the girl he has loved for years, Seo Dal-mi (Bae Suzy), and his protege, Nam Do-san (Nam Joo-hyuk).

Ji-pyeong was Dal-mi's first love and only because they wrote letters to each other as teenagers. Fifteen years later, Dal-mi thought that the person who has been communicating with her was Do-san, whom Ji-pyeong convinced to pose as the boy she was exchanging letters with.

Dal-mi, however, realized that she truly loves Do-san and chose to be with him as they start a life and company together. Ji-pyeong, on the other hand, remains a part of the company and has maintained a platonic relationship with his first love. For Yuzon, however, he's still rooting for Ji-pyeong and Dal-mi despite acknowleding that Do-san is also a nice guy.

Start-Up ranked as the Top 10 best Korean series for 2020 according to Teen Vogue. The series is still streaming on Netflix with 16 episodes.

Meanwhile, "Siguro Nga" will be part of Sponge Cola's new album set for release this year. The group has been working on the tracks during the quarantine.
