BTS and One Direction have clearly made a name for themselves in the last few years. The courses of their careers go side by side, and there are similarities between the two all-male bands in terms of their success. Accordingly, it makes total sense why many individuals, especially fans and supporters, compare one from the other.

There are obviously biased answers when it comes to choosing which boy band group is better. But, to help some people arrive at a more objective perspective, Cheat Sheet revealed which artists have more "Top 10" hits.

One Direction, who is on an indefinite hiatus since 2016, managed to top the charts since their arrival at the music scene in 2010. Their productions, "Story of My Life," "One Thing," "Perfect," "Drag Me Down," and "What Makes You Beautiful," hit the Billboard Top 10 upon their respective releases.

Similarly, BTS, who started to carve out their success in 2013, landed six singles, as well, on the same chart. Their tracks "Boy With Luv," "Fake Love," "ON," "Savage Love," "Life on Top," and "Dynamite" all immediately became hits across the globe.

While the two boy band groups have the same number of hits that reached the top ten charts, One Direction was not able to achieve the top spot. On the other hand, BTS managed to secure the first place three times.

With their songs, "Dynamite," "Savage Love," and "Life On Top," the all-male K-pop group became chart-toppers that have since continued to shock the world. Hence, the publication concluded that the seven South Korean stars are definitely "performing better" today.

In 2019, though, Pinkvilla reported that Directioners showed more support and love to the English-Irish boy band than the ARMYs toward the K-pop septet. The reason being is that 1D won the Best Boy Band of the Decade award at that time.

The publication pointed out, however, that the votes were too close. One Direction won with 61.9 percent of the votes while BTS took over the remainder.

But, despite all the awards and charts, many people still ask which of the two boy band groups is better. One individual took the time to compare the two sets of artists objectively on Quora.

The netizen explained that some specific criteria and factors needed considering to arrive at a very objective answer. As listed, vocals, visuals, lyrics, performance, discography, origin, and fashion are the main things to look out for. Using a point-per-point system, the entire process showed that "BTS wins by far," seemingly concluding that they are a much better group than One Direction.
