Months have passed since MAMAMOO made their comeback in the world of K-Pop. While there are no new movements for the group for this year, member Hwasa recently starred in an episode of I Live Alone.

The MBC variety show's episode aired on Feb. 26. Considering the popularity of the show, many viewers witnessed the current struggles of the K-Pop idol.

AllKpop reported that the episode even brought the audience, as well as the staff, to tears because of the premise of the material. As it happened, Hwasa visited her late grandmother's home months after passing away.

The MAMAMOO rapper headed straight to the bedroom upon arrival. She quickly laid on the mat, where her grandmother used to hang out in the past. She closed her eyes and spent most of her time lying down on the said mat.

During the interview portion of the episode, Hwasa revealed that her grandmother was "ill for a long time," adding that she passed away in old age. She continued that no one lives in the house anymore, and it is now "empty."

While talking in front of the camera, the publication said that the K-Pop artist was trying to hold back her tears. But, the MAMAMOO member went on to share her emotions and thoughts about the unfortunate event.

She said that she regrets not spending more time with her grandmother. She, also, noted that they could not visit her due to the pandemic crisis. Hwasa, then, revealed that all of the family members "were not at her bedside when she passed away," and this is what she said to have hurt her heart the most.

The South Korean celebrity, also, revealed that she had to perform on stage right after she heard the unfortunate news. The reason being is that MAMAMOO just had their comeback at that time.

Hwasa, later on, stated that she was not able to attend the burial, as well. But, what saddens her the most is that she feels she did not have the chance to grieve because time flew so fast.

The public witnessed Hwasa's relationship with her father and grandmother when I Live Alone featured the family back in 2018. The episode was, also, quite emotional, as recalled by Soompi. Nevertheless, it was a feel-good material, especially for the MAMAMOO member, as she was able to spend quality time with her family.

The four-member K-Pop group dropped their latest album, TRAVEL, last November. It served as the group's comeback release after working on it amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
