Lee Dong Wook took part in a pictorial for the magazine Arena. During the interview, the South Korean actor was asked how he takes a break for himself at this point of his career. He said that he worked almost "like an idol" and he is happy whenever he has a week off.

Lee Dong Wook shared that he reached a busy point in his career after the popular drama Goblin, wherein he went to seven Asian countries for a tour in 2017. While the actor finds fun in performing, he revealed that everything began to blur together.

The year 2019 was a busy year for him, as well. He started filming the series Touch Your Heart and became one of the MCs on Produce X 101. While doing that, he began filming another series Strangers from Hell. When the time it's about to end, he joined that talk show Because I Want to Talk.

After wrapping these up, he started preparing for the fantasy-drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed. In February, he finished filming the movie Single in Seoul. When asked what he thinks about pre-produced dramas, Lee Dong Wook answered: "I think that it's right for things to change."

Pre-produced dramas are series that were being produced ahead of their broadcast date and the actor shared his thought about this matter. He said that he could rest one day a week since the system changed and was able to sleep six or seven hours every night.

Meanwhile, the actor also discussed the difference between filming a movie and a series. He said that he didn't notice a big difference since both are using the same tools. He added that the production conditions for the two are the same, as well.

As for how his life during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lee Dong Wook said they've had to "become less transparent about filming schedules." He added that it's difficult to scout locations for filming at times like this as they couldn't do the things they used to do before.

They could easily get permission to film in certain locations in the past, but the residents are now opposed to the idea that a lot of people are coming to the area. He shared that the filming of Single in Seoul didn't wrap up earlier than they expected due to location issues.

Lee Dong Wook further said that they have to take their mask off when they work and must wear it when they're getting hair and makeup done. Masks are also being worn when they go to the bathroom and in interviews, except for the time they're in front of the camera.
