Prodigal Son season 2 episode 8 is not arriving anytime soon on Fox. The good thing is that the procedural drama recently dropped a new trailer and teased what lies ahead for everyone. Malcolm Bright (Tom Payne), in particular, is facing a new problem.

Based on the promo of Prodigal Son season 2 episode 8, Malcolm deals with a crisis that could potentially put him and his sister, Ainsley Whitly (Halston Sage), in jeopardy. It can be noted that the two were aware of Nicholas Endicott's (Dermot Mulroney) death.

Ainsley was the one who killed Endicott, though she doesn't seem to remember what happened. Malcolm is doing his best to cover it up to protect his sister. The biggest problem, however, is that some people out there are eager to uncover the truth behind it.

For instance, Simon Huxley (Alan Cumming) might be the biggest torn on his side. This person is one of the best investigators out there and he won't stop until he finds out the truth. He's going to dig more about Endicott's death and could find a way to pin the murder down on Malcolm and Ainsely.

In the previous episode, Martin reels from the latest events with Ainsley but he managed to stay focus on his next case. However, the situation gets worse when Simon showed up to look at Endicott's death. Now, the siblings have to figure out how to clear everything up in Prodigal Son season 2 episode 8.

In addition, their father, Martin Whitly (Michael Sheen), could make the situation even more complicated. Since he will be spending most of his time with Dr. Vivian Capshaw (Catherine Zeta-Jone), the two could develop some sort of unusual relationship.

Prodigal Son season 2 episode 8 will continue the introduction of Dr. Vivian, who first arrives in episode 7. She was already warned about Martin, but it looks like it doesn't bother her at all. If the two get to know each other more, she could potentially help him get out of his current situation.

Meanwhile, as mentioned, the upcoming episode won't be airing on Fox anytime soon. The series goes on hiatus, so fans need to wait for a few more weeks to see its return. This isn't the first time the procedural drama goes on break this season, as there's also a few weeks gap between episodes 6 and 7.

Prodigal Son season 2 episode 8 arrives on Tuesday, April 13, on Fox.
