Prince Charles and Prince William are said to be feeling sad over Pince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired to 17 million viewers on CBS on Sunday, March 7, 2021.

According to insiders, those on the side of the royal family felt that the Sussex pair could have settled their problems privately and not in a television program. There is apparently a general feeling of sadness within the walls of Clarence House, Charles' official residence, and Kensington Palace, William's official residence.

The Sussex pair told Winfrey that they didn't feel any support within the royal family and Buckingham Palace as their requests were frequently denied, or they felt that the standards were different for them and the rest of the senior royals. Harry, especially, named his father for disappointing him and cutting off their financial support when they decided to leave the royal fold.

To the Sussexes, their refusal to follow protocols was an indication that the royal family and their staff members have been working against them. Sources, however, said that Harry might have failed to explain to Meghan that being in the royal family is a "marathon and not a sprint."

But Harry did speak candidly about his brother, William, and said that he will always "love him to bits." Harry said that he and William are giving each other space and the time to heal. The Duke of Sussex repeated what he said in an interview from 2019 about him and his brother going on different paths.

Harry also said that there was a time during this whole Megxit drama that Charles refused to pick up his call. The Duke of Sussex felt that, of all people, Charles would be the one to understand his choices, especially when it came to Archie's future, as he's the future king's grandson.

However, Harry later clarified in the interview that he and his father are on speaking terms today. He said that he would make it his priority in life to continue to heal his relationship with his father.

Meanwhile, Harry is expected to return to the U.K. to reunite with William for the unveiling of Princess Diana's statue in Kensington Palace on her 60th birthday in July 2021. Sources said that Harry and William's relationship has been mending as well and that they are jointly committed to seeing through this special event in the summer. The brothers have been working on this statue before 2017, the 20th anniversary of Diana's death.
