BTS Jimin has proven once again why he's been dubbed the "Brand King" by fans after the Louis Vuitton necklace and sweatshirt he wore on a variety show immediately sold out in South Korea.

According to reports, the Jimin effect was in full blast following the BTS member's appearance in the YouTube video teaser of You Quiz On The Block, a new variety program on tvN. The 37-second video showed that Jimin had a black sweatshirt with a necklace, which fans apparently searched for online.

With 24 hours, sales of the Louis Vuitton: the Inside Out Crewneck Sweatshirt, which is priced at $1,368, and the LV Friends Pendant necklace, which costs $810, hit the roof in South Korea. Data later revealed that the said items are currently sold out.

This isn't the first time the Jimin effect had such an impact on brand sales. As a style icon and shopping influencer, this BTS member could easily sell out most of the clothes and accessories he wears during his appearances. Thouhg all of the BTS members are fine-dressers, Jimin manages to stand out because he's a fashion savvant.

He also has one of the most coveted closets among K-pop stars. Jimin just sold out a sweatshirt and a hoodie from the WeVerse shop, which cost about $68 and $83 each, after fans saw watched him on the Run BTS show.

In November 2020, he was cited for his top Brand Reputation Ranking for 25 months. He is the first K-pop idol to have held such as record, which was previously usually topped by movie stars than music stars.

However, this is the first time that Jimin's influence wiped out a particularly simple crewneck shirt which other brands also have. The Louis Vuitton items are still available on the brand's U.S. website but they could be selling out fast as well because of the Jimin effect.

Meanwhile, the Guinness World Records confirmed that BTS has reached another milestone as the music group with the "most Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards won." They now have five Kids' Choice trophy after winning three awards in last week's ceremonies: Favorite Song (for "Dynamite"), Favorite Music Group and Favorite Global Music Star. BTS previously won Favorite Global Music Star in 2018 and Favorite Music Group in 2020.

The group also holds the record for most views for a YouTube video. In total, BTS has 16 Guinness World Records and will likely continue to break records as their popularity is unstoppable.
