Krispy Kreme is offering customers a sweet deal by giving away free doughnuts every day for the remainder of the year as long as they are vaccinated against COVID-19.

To encourage people to take one of the three approved vaccines, the company announced that customers will get a free glazed doughnut if they bring their vaccine card. Currently, the only suppliers administering the vaccines in the U.S. are Pfizer and BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson.

Visitors who provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccine shot beginning March 22 will get a free glazed donut every day until Dec. 31. You do not need to make a purchase to get your free donut, but you must show your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card; vaccine stickers are not accepted.

The offer is only valid in the U.S., where more than 81 million people have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Recipients will be limited to one doughnut a day, Krispy Kreme said.

Krispy Kreme said in a press release it is also giving away free doughnuts at select vaccine centers in the coming weeks. Employees at Krispy Kreme will also be given four hours of paid time off to presumably get the vaccines themselves.

"We all want to get Covid-19 behind us as fast as possible, and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them," chief marketing officer Dave Skena said.

The deal is only valid in-store or drive-thru. No online orders or deliveries will be accepted.

Krispy Kreme is also giving away a free donut and a medium brewed coffee every Monday from March 29 to May 24 at participating U.S. locations. The company hopes this will help everyone "get their week off to a good start in these tough times."
