Hajime Isayama has completed the manuscript of Attack on Titan Chapter 139. The mangaka gives fans an update about the series' final chapter, and the manga will soon say goodbye after almost 12 years.

Isayama has submitted Attack on Titan Chapter 139 to publishers, so fans can expect to see leaks and spoilers circulating online in no time. As the manga artist has done an incredible work--an epic story that gained traction all over the world--, he's now receiving praise from the thankful readers.

According to BlockToro,  the manga artist presented the final chapter's manuscript in time of Eren's birthday in the manga storyline on Tuesday, March 30. The manga ran for about 11 years and seven months, and Isayama has only taken one break since it started.

The franchise's Twitter page confirmed it has received the manuscript on Eren's birthday and asked everyone to look forward to the magazine's May issue. It then thanked Isayama's hard work to complete the story for more than a decade.

The creator, on the other hand, asked the Twitter admin to delete all his tweets after the manga series ends, seeing it staying online as pointless. He said he wondered if he could leave a comment, so he tweeted or deleted it and confirmed he would remove each tweet after a few days.

Fans couldn't help but feel emotional with Attack on Titan Chapter 139's completion. They all thanked Isayama on Twitter, making #ThankYouIsama trended, GMA Network noted. One fan said it was "unbelievably perfect" that he finished the final chapter on Eren's birthday.

He also called it poetic, just like everything about the series. Another one felt grateful that he gave them a "wonderful and unforgettable story with even more unforgettable characters."

The anime series started its serialization in September 2009. Since then, its fame incredibly grew, not just in Japan but all over the world. It even became the best-selling manga series of all time, with 100 million copies in circulation as of December 2019.
