Elizabeth "Liz" Keen will finally show up in the upcoming The Blacklist season 8 episode 14 as previous teasers hinted at the return of Megan Boone's character. Titled "Misere," this particular installment could further explore who are the people around her and where she was all this time.
One of the recently-released photos of The Blacklist season 8 episode 14 introduced Mrs. French, who has a connection to Liz -- specifically taking care of her daughter, Agnes. Boone's character wanted to make sure that her loved ones were all safe because of what's she's up to at the moment.
Liz is doing some dangerous things that could put Agnes' life in jeopardy, that's why she enlisted Mr. French to look after her daughter. The Blacklist season 8 episode 14 revolves around Liz and it could address her recent whereabouts and the people she's working with at the moment.
There are a lot of questions surrounding Liz, particularly what happened to her during her time away. Yet, it is clear that she's building her own empire and she is determined to bring Raymond Reddington (James Spader) down. This is something that she's already been doing earlier this season.
Liz is eager to get revenge on Reddington and she wanted to find out who he really is. She is aware that her former partner is hiding secrets, especially when it comes to his real identity. Her anger was further fuelled when she witnessed how he killed her mother, Katarina Rostova (Laila Robins).
Meanwhile, the synopsis of The Blacklist season 8 episode 14 suggests that "steps are retraced leading Liz to align with a powerful enemy." This likely indicates that a flashback scene will be featured, bringing Neville Townsend (Reg Rogers) back into the picture.
Liz has been teaming up with unlikely allies -- such as former Blacklisters -- in order to take down Reddington. Her operation is unclear until now, but she is willing to head to the darker path just to find out the secrets her former partner buried.
Aside from being responsible for the death of Katarina, Liz believes that Reddington is the "N-13." The two have worked together and took down a lot of enemies in the past, but they drifted apart due to a lot of complications between them. For now, it's yet to be seen if they'll be working again in the future.
In addition to the people she's working with, it looks like she's also teamed up with Skip Hadley. In some preview photos, Liz can be seen sitting while asking him some serious questions, possibly about their plan to take down Reddington.
The Blacklist season 8 episode 14 is set to arrive on Friday, April 23, on NBC.
