An incident at the home of Prince Andrew had his security scrambling as a 44-year-old woman breached the grounds and entered the building as she claimed she was his fiancée.

According to reports, the woman claimed that her name is Irene Windsor and when she got inside the Royal Lodge in Windsor, she asked a staff of Prince Andrew about his whereabouts. The woman said that she was supposed to meet her soon-to-be-husband at his home.

Witnesses said that Windsor looked quite glamourous so the guards were "completely taken" by her presence and let her into the gates but she was apparently a total stranger to the Duke of York. While she was not arrested, the Thames Valley police sanctioned her under the Mental Health Act.

Initial investigations showed that Windsor had maps of the royal residence inside her bag and she was suspected of burglary. Investigations are still ongoing but sources said that the intruder did not harm or risk anyone from the staff. Andrew's office said that they will no longer comment on the matter as it is now in the hands of the police.

The news comes following reports that the Duke of York wants his public image rehabilitated, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. His only public outing since stepping back from his royal duties in November 2019 was at the funeral of his father, Prince Philip.

However, BBC, allegedly, received several complaints from viewers about showing Andrew on TV during his father's funeral because he has admitted to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. The network, however, said that every one of the Duke of Edinburgh's children had given tributes to their father hence it was covered in the news.

Fitzwilliams said that the only way Andrew could rehabilitate his image is if he starts talking with the FBI about Epstein's cases. Until then, the British public will continue to oppose seeing the Duke of York in public.

Meanwhile, Andrew is apparently the person behind Queen Elizabeth's new puppies. Insiders said that he wanted to uplift his mother who "felt down and alone in the castle" while Prince Philip was at the hospital for a month. The queen named her new puppies Muick and Fergus and has been taking her sweet time leading the dogs to their daily walks.

Sources said that he has always been labeled as the favorite son and the rock of the queen. Prince Andrew also frequently visits his mother, especially when the lockdown eased, since he lives just a few minutes away from Windsor Castle.
